SHREYAS

Shreyas, founded in the year 1979, dedicated to the development and the empowerment of the marginalized, irrespective of their religion, gender, colour and political affiliation. Since its inception Shreyas is engaged in building up a new social order with gender and environmental sensitivity based on moral values and principles

OUR OBJECTIVES

1. To form strengthen and sustain Community Based Organizations (CBOs)
2. To groom and develop quality leadership with gender sensitivity
3. To support decentralized development initiatives. To facilitate Social Inclusion and Integrated Development of Tribal Communities and Persons with Disabilities
4. To promote judicious management of Natural Resources, Sustainable Agriculture, and Food Security
5. To strive for accessible and affordable Primary Health Care for the grassroots communities
6. To facilitate generation of Employment through local level Entrepreneurship Initiatives
7. To strengthen Disaster Risk Governance to Mitigate and manage disaster risk

Milestone, 1986-2018

  • 1986 - Regionalization of Social Service Center

  • 1987 - Registration of the Social Service Centre as society by the name "SHREYAS"

  • 1988 - Registration of "SHREYAS" with Home Ministry of india

  • 1992 - Credit Union Programme Launched

  • 1994 - Entrepreneurship Development Programme Launched

  • 1994 - 'People Bank' Programme launched Unit level decentralization (Swasraya Nidhi)

  • 1995 - Tribal development programme launched

  • 1995 - Regional decentralization

  • 1999 - Implementation of village level decentralization programme

  • 2002 - Inaguration of "Shreyas Training and Research centre"

  • 2002 - Programme for persons with disabilities launched

  • 2003 - Initiated Shreyas Millennium Development programme

  • 2004 - CBR Programme launched

  • 2005 - Shreyas was selected as DII of KILLA in Wayanad

  • 2007 - Launched Save Farmers Campaign

  • 2008 - "Ente Gramam Suchitwa Gramam" Programme Launched

  • 2009 - Watershed Programme Initiated

  • 2011 - Bakshya Samrudhi Programme launched

  • 2013 - WADI project for Tribals launched

  • 2016 - Jalanidhi Second phase launched

  • 2017 - Ashakiranam cancer care campaign launched

  • 2017 - Inaguration of Resource Centre for Persons with disabilities

  • 2018 - Disaster Risk Reduction Programme launched
